What my day looks like lately.

With lockdown, most of us are left with no choice but to keep ourselves productive inside homes otherwise, we are all going to lose our minds and God forbid we go through some more miseries. We've had enough this 2020.

My day in a photo.. or two? Ukulele playing, music, books, journaling at night and a interfering cat from time to time.

Comeback is Real!

I've been seeing these words often lately "Comeback is Real". Turns out its being widely used by Mobile Legends players so I'm getting on the bandwagon by declaring that I'm back but with no interest in playing ML. I'm back to blogging and ready to overshare things again here in the world wide web. So, Hello!

This Year's 13th of June

Today, while at work, almost 5 people yelled at me, and yet, I still have to apologize for something I didn't do. How cruel is that. When I checked my phone after work, I received a message from someone I never thought would even communicate and a flower bouquet was handed by someone really close to my heart. Today, I also received a few well wishes, greetings that I felt were sincere and lots of really tight hugs from my friends.

Right now, I'm looking at the breathtaking panorama I get from my workplace and and I see a very sunny 13th of June. I was made aware its been raining in the northern area. I just realized I'm still very blessed and that my life isn't that bad after all.

Christmas Eavesdropping

Currently at the dinner table and about to enjoy Jane Austen but I can't help but be distracted by lovers who decided to stay on Christmas Eve away from their families. I'm currently by the window and I'm overhearing conversations in almost whispering manner. If I don't get much from this book tonight, I am going to held this couple responsible for ruining a lovely Christmas Eve.

Christmas without my Gomphrenas

Came home to this tragic scene. I'm saving the seeds so I get to plant these again. Some things may seem worthless but can be valuable to others.

While I was working in the grassroots community, I encountered Gomphrenas again, after many years of not seeing it. They bring great memories of my childhood specially the times where I play by myself in our area's Reading Centre. The place was full of these wonderful little blooms.

I decided to propagate these sometime 2015. Mid year it was uncontrollably growing in front of our home, I wouldnt blame the responsible person entirely for cutting it all as it looked like its been neglected but that was the look I was going for. LOL. I wanted the place to be full of tiny little lavender buttons. Also, the good thing about this plant is how low maintenance it is. I rarely check its leaves for insects and arachnids (considering I'm arachnophobic, I also wouldnt dare to). The plant had thrived and gave us wonderful colors while it lasted.

While its sad to come home without these lovely flowers, I'm still glad I get to spend the holidays with family this year. Im hoping tough I'll get to see my gomphrenas bloom again the next time I come home so I'm gonna start planting now. Bye~

Mildred and Sabrina

Mildred and Sabrina are twins. They came from a single mother cat whose lover left her just before the two girls were born. The two girls are very close to each other.  Just a few weeks old and they seem to be so attached one goes to where the other is.  But there is one single catch.  Both are extremely jealous over their mom Susan.  Almost always, they compete for their mother’s affection.  Susan on the other hand, careful a mother cat as she is appears to have given her favor to one.  And the one who is greatly favored is Sabrina.

Sabrina is the naughtier between the twins.  She bites and scratches and do damages to things,   maybe because of her dark fur and not so handsome face. Sabrina displays to be more shy and aloof.  She doesn’t want to be cuddled  and appears to be independent-minded and hard-headed.

Mildred on the other hand is very friendly and charming.  Her fur is white, slightly dotted with gray and she likes to be petted and fussed about.  She enjoys the company of kids and the kids in turn enjoys having her around.  Mildred is mild-mannered and easy to get along with and she has many friends who give her food and sweets to eat.

Now why on cat earth did mom Susan favors Sabrina whose negativity isn’t so engaging as compared with Mildred’s pleasant ways?

Susan has an answer.   When the twins were born in a cardboard box off the roof, Mildred was the sickly one.  Exposed to the elements of heat, dust and rain, Mildred almost died from exhaustion and fever.  Sabrina who was born a minute older helped in coaxing Mildred to drink milk from their mother’s breast.  Many a times, Sabrina gave way to Mildred to have the more milk because she loves her and she knew that Mildred at that time needed it the most.

Mildred survived the worst with the help of Sabrina who showed to be a sensitive & responsible older sister.  Mildred grew up to be a beautiful kitten, while Sabrina, out of being deficient in nutrients grew to be not  as pretty as Mildred.  In time Sabrina became a bit irritable and unfriendly and competitive.  Sad to say, the kids in the neighborhood didn’t see what made her that way.

That is why mom Susan favored Sabrina.  Because Mildred has now everything - including looks and grace that makes her endearing to  the neighborhood kids.  While Sabrina has her alone for a friend.  Mom Susan knows that Sabrina needed her the most and that is why she is being showered more with a motherly love that the other kids cannot yet fill.  In time they will see that the beauty of Sabrina lies just beneath that dark-fur of hers and Mom Susan hopes that eventually, the kids will also appreciate her the way she truly is.

As of today, Susan is no longer with us, she never became an indoor cat. When Susan gave birth, only Mildred stayed and both Susan with Sabrina went along with their lives as feral cats. Although Mildred almost became one (as she got busy looking for  life mates), she still managed to come back and eventually gave birth too, to two wonderful kittens.

There Is Always Sunshine After The Rain

When current station manager of DYMR - Radyo ng Bayan Cebu, Ms. Anabelle Lagrosas reached the good side of life, a deeper story behind holds the true meaning of how her life was lived, and how her struggles brought her to success.

Ms. Anabelle father is a retired policeman and her mother, a business woman. Upon graduating in high school, she was offered a scholarship at the University of San Jose - Recoletos. With her interest in serving the people and with a small political background way back in Mindanao as a KB chairman (now SK), Ms. Anabelle chose mass communication as an instrument to attain her goals. Amidst her family's difficulties, after EDSA Revolution, her parents advised her to stop schooling, something that for her was hard to fathom at that time. With a very eager and strong heart she accepted a challenge and went to Kidapawan, North Cotabato and took care of her cousin's kids, provided that she is sent to school. Though her life as a working student became complex at times, still, it brought good changes into her life.

The right time came to her and she went back to Cebu, continued her studies, and with the determination that she can do it, she used her skills and talents to fill up her needs in college. She worked for her board mates by making their home works and chores, and in return she was given reward for her efforts. Later on her struggles was compensated and she successfully graduated in college.

Ms Anabelle Lagrosas is the current VP for the Visayas Region on their nationwide union, the Bureau of Broadcast Services, she is also an active station manager of DYMR.  Despite her achievement, she remained humble and kind. According to her, there are still a lot of things she needs to attain to improve herself and that she just doesn't want to be just called good but be better than good.

The sweet success she has right now is shared with her family especially to her son who is the source of her joy and strength. For her, success means all the things, may it be big or small, it should be something to be proud of.

How to follow a blog on Blogger.com - the fail tutorial edition

So this is the case I've been trying to figure out as I sat yesterday in our computer lab/ room. "How do I follow someone else's blog? This sucks, I'd rather watch YouTube" (lol at my dialogue yesterday)..

Suppose you like blogging and you just found the perfect place for it (Blogger.com).You've managed to make an account via gmail.com and as you keep on blogging, you write, you explore, you view other people's blog and you found this really worthwhile blog. So how on earth will you be able to keep on track of the blog, of course you just have to "follow" it.

It's actually a very easy process that just requires you to be mentally active, physically fit, you must have a good eye sight, you need to have a cat beside you, and you must have the ability to catch a bee, lick your elbow and read and understand English. LOL I'm kidding, okay, but for those of you who have no idea of what to do yet, here's how.

First look for that part or section where you see the 'followers'. Most blogs have this widget on their sidebars, however yesterday I just found out my friend followers section weren't showing on her page. If you already see this in someone's blog. Go ahead click it and you're done!

For those who don't have it yet, simply do the following. If you are viewing your own blog, In the
upper right most of your window or browser, you will see some options or buttons, simply click design and you will be redirected to a new page.

In this page you can add widgets, apps, edit your layout, add elements to your page by using html codes, or whatever you want to do with your blog, it can be seen here.
Simply click add gadget and a pop-up window will appear.

By the time you see this new window, scroll down and you will see something that says 'Followers' by clicking this, the followers section will be added into the sidebar of your blog. Click the button with the plus sign (+).

This new window will show you what account you will then wish to use, and since I use google account for my blogger, I clicked 'Google'. For those of you who wish to use twitter and yahoo, you can do that as well, I really don't care. xD
So now that you have already chose and have finally decided what account to use, you will be redirected to a new window.

I think this is the part where we say, "Yay!!". Click  follow this blog and there should be another pop-up box for you.

This window holds the confirmation message that says you are already done! And that's it!

Please follow me and I'll see you next time, for another fail tutorials. TAKE CARE! Sorry for the English, please bear with me. I promise to improve in the future, the grammar, the spelling and everything.
