There Is Always Sunshine After The Rain

When current station manager of DYMR - Radyo ng Bayan Cebu, Ms. Anabelle Lagrosas reached the good side of life, a deeper story behind holds the true meaning of how her life was lived, and how her struggles brought her to success.

Ms. Anabelle father is a retired policeman and her mother, a business woman. Upon graduating in high school, she was offered a scholarship at the University of San Jose - Recoletos. With her interest in serving the people and with a small political background way back in Mindanao as a KB chairman (now SK), Ms. Anabelle chose mass communication as an instrument to attain her goals. Amidst her family's difficulties, after EDSA Revolution, her parents advised her to stop schooling, something that for her was hard to fathom at that time. With a very eager and strong heart she accepted a challenge and went to Kidapawan, North Cotabato and took care of her cousin's kids, provided that she is sent to school. Though her life as a working student became complex at times, still, it brought good changes into her life.

The right time came to her and she went back to Cebu, continued her studies, and with the determination that she can do it, she used her skills and talents to fill up her needs in college. She worked for her board mates by making their home works and chores, and in return she was given reward for her efforts. Later on her struggles was compensated and she successfully graduated in college.

Ms Anabelle Lagrosas is the current VP for the Visayas Region on their nationwide union, the Bureau of Broadcast Services, she is also an active station manager of DYMR.  Despite her achievement, she remained humble and kind. According to her, there are still a lot of things she needs to attain to improve herself and that she just doesn't want to be just called good but be better than good.

The sweet success she has right now is shared with her family especially to her son who is the source of her joy and strength. For her, success means all the things, may it be big or small, it should be something to be proud of.

How to follow a blog on Blogger.com - the fail tutorial edition

So this is the case I've been trying to figure out as I sat yesterday in our computer lab/ room. "How do I follow someone else's blog? This sucks, I'd rather watch YouTube" (lol at my dialogue yesterday)..

Suppose you like blogging and you just found the perfect place for it (Blogger.com).You've managed to make an account via gmail.com and as you keep on blogging, you write, you explore, you view other people's blog and you found this really worthwhile blog. So how on earth will you be able to keep on track of the blog, of course you just have to "follow" it.

It's actually a very easy process that just requires you to be mentally active, physically fit, you must have a good eye sight, you need to have a cat beside you, and you must have the ability to catch a bee, lick your elbow and read and understand English. LOL I'm kidding, okay, but for those of you who have no idea of what to do yet, here's how.

First look for that part or section where you see the 'followers'. Most blogs have this widget on their sidebars, however yesterday I just found out my friend followers section weren't showing on her page. If you already see this in someone's blog. Go ahead click it and you're done!

For those who don't have it yet, simply do the following. If you are viewing your own blog, In the
upper right most of your window or browser, you will see some options or buttons, simply click design and you will be redirected to a new page.

In this page you can add widgets, apps, edit your layout, add elements to your page by using html codes, or whatever you want to do with your blog, it can be seen here.
Simply click add gadget and a pop-up window will appear.

By the time you see this new window, scroll down and you will see something that says 'Followers' by clicking this, the followers section will be added into the sidebar of your blog. Click the button with the plus sign (+).

This new window will show you what account you will then wish to use, and since I use google account for my blogger, I clicked 'Google'. For those of you who wish to use twitter and yahoo, you can do that as well, I really don't care. xD
So now that you have already chose and have finally decided what account to use, you will be redirected to a new window.

I think this is the part where we say, "Yay!!". Click  follow this blog and there should be another pop-up box for you.

This window holds the confirmation message that says you are already done! And that's it!

Please follow me and I'll see you next time, for another fail tutorials. TAKE CARE! Sorry for the English, please bear with me. I promise to improve in the future, the grammar, the spelling and everything.

Teachers

image from i forgot what site i obtained this one- lolzz

Teachers like candies, they come in different sizes, colors and tastes, some maybe sweet some are a bit sour and some are also tasteless when their expiration date comes. I have encountered a lot of different teachers in my current institution, and the kind of teacher that of course most students want are those who are approachable or sociable, kind and understanding, though some teachers lack this some also have these qualities. On a different note, there are also some teachers who are very strict and conscientious but are yet very good in teaching and the kind of process of giving lessons is just sublime that the students can easily comprehend them. Though being considerate still matters, some teachers are only aiming for that 'oh you're so good when it comes to teaching' yet don't have the single interest to have that kind of emotional bond students wants to have towards their teachers. Oh teachers you come in different colors and us students, oh we just want to blend with you.

My Dream Teacher

People say, that if you want to dream, dream BIG! and I want KORY STAMPER as my teacher! LOL Ms. Kory here by the way is the Associate Editor at Merriam-Webster. I'm a big fan of Merriam-Webster Dictionary and I often see her at the side bar. Suddenly I found myself watching all of her videos. If she's my teacher I wouldn't have to skip class (as if I do, I care about my grades). Beauty and brains people, this is what we need! Kory Stamper for President! lolz

How to break-up with someone

In the song Make It Easy On Yourself by the Carpenters it is stated there "make it easy on yourself, because breaking up is so very hard to do". Breaking-up is indeed a very hard thing to do. You don't enter a relationships for that, the goal is for it to last. but things happen..
As a woman, a lady, a girl, it is very important that in going through this stage: I. You must have a good reason of why you need to break-up with him. II. Tell him what you really feel. Don't sugar coat it and let it out! III. Say it in a very calm manner and look him in the eye, by that he can really tell that you're true and you really mean the things you just said. IV. Tell him you will still both be friends, no matter what happens -(though its really impossible).
In breaking up, all it takes is a good conversation. Whether we like it or not, break-ups will sometimes come on our way and it hurts but if you really care about that person, don't try to hurt his feelings, just tell him that you're through and make it easy on yourself..

Girls if the guy is a moron, slap them if u must. :3 Seriously, I haven't even tried breaking up with somebody, haha this is a random post, please don't think that I'm looking forward for that moment where I have to break someone else's heart or it can the other way around which will hurt even more. So for now I'll keep on blogging and you'll

Is your glass half full or half empty?

You can tell by my blog posts that I'm a person who focuses more on the negative side of a situation, I'm not saying that I don't notice the desirable side, but the one that upsets me is the one that catches most of my attention. Pessimist much? I don't know, its for me to figure than one out.

Just this morning I borrowed Reader's Digest in our school library and I find their January issue very interesting. I read about Matthieu Ricard, who happens to be the happiest and most content person in the world. According to scientists, his level of mind control is astonishing and the upbeat impulses in his brain are off the scale, you can determine that by the way by using MRI or brain scans, oh psychology, I will later get the hang of it. I found his website and learned that he is also a photographer. His photos are just breathtaking!
Mattieu is a French academic-turned-Buddhist monk, he is also the French interpreter for Tibet's spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama. Supernova right? Maybe its also the Monks way of living that helped him attain a true and lasting happiness. According to lab test, Mattieu and other meditating monks showed a sharp spike in the the prefrontal cortex, the area linked to positive emotions such as happiness. He's one happy person whose contented with what he has. Come on, I know you envy him, I do too. But I'm glad there's somebody like Mattieu Ricard who can inspire people just by telling his story.

Photo from Mattieu's Gallery

Here's one quote from Mattieu - "Our life can be greatly transformed by even a minimal change in how we manage our thoughts and perceive and interpret the world. Happiness is a skill. It requires effort and time." -It's how we see things, it may take time to practice how to make an undesirable situation be a desirable one, but I'll make sure that I'll have that kind of mindset, ill get there someday.

Also on RD's January issue is about a guy named Neil Pasricha,
who also chose to see life as a one great blessing. Neil does things the opposite of what I do, LOL -check his website AwesomeThings.com, and you'll see how great this guy is. Okay, you see, what he does is Neil post one awesome thing in life each weekday, which is a really amazing thing to do, now isn't it awesome? (Prepare for some more usage of the word awesome, lol) Neil made this awesome website to remind himself of the good things in life, and how awesome life is. Neil shares his experiences everyday to almost 60,000 people who visits his website daily. Neil also said, and I'm quoting this one -"There's much more to life than the bad things we're going through". That one really hit me, I have to come up with my own awesome thing per day. Maybe I'll do this later here on my blog.

Anyway, it's great when what we do is to just focus on what's fun or enjoyable about each day. We can as well do that, like Neil by appreciating the little pleasures we have in life.

I'd also like to see my glass one day as half full rather than half empty, these people have inspired me, have made me realize that there is always at least one good thing that can happen despite all the bad things that may surround it. An idea came that maybe by making a list of all things that happen in a day can help, and by omitting the bad ones, we get to appreciate the positive side (too much time on my hands)..  Or maybe it's how we see things, I guess. A life choice for us to decide whether to have a good life or not. Or.. maybe what we need is some conviction or some sort of divine intervention to keep everything together in our lives (lol). I'm going nowhere, ya notice?  For now let us be grateful for what we have, in that way, hopefully we'll feel fulfilled and we will get see how blessed we are...

    Have a great weekend everyone!
